Raj Naik, MD

Raj Naik, MD, is Board certified in internal medicine and geriatrics. Since starting his private practice in Clearwater, FL in 1987, he has been providing value-based care to Medicare Advantage patients for 37 years. He believes access to care and excellent communication with patients and providers are keys to success in value-based care.

He successfully started Best Care Healthcare IPA with 20,000 Medicare Advantage full-risk lives and 10,000 Medicaid  risk lives. He sold to Davita Healthcare Group (Optum) in 2012. In 2015, he started Best Value Healthcare IPA and was acquired by Arsenal Capital in 2020. The entity was renamed to MaxHealth. Dr. Naik works as Executive Vice President at MaxHealth.

Dr. Naik is actively involved in utilization management, HEDIS Star management and appropriate MRA coding. He strongly believes that social determinants of health must be addressed by primary care. Most of his patients are under privileged. He believes that healthcare equity is most important for efficient care.
