Paul Pulcini, MD

Medical Director

Dr. Paul Pulcini is a strong leader. He is currently the assistant medical director to Dr. Raj Naik who founded the organization. His path in value-based healthcare started many years before the term became common place in the health care industry. Dr. Pulcini attended the University of Florida for both undergraduate studies and medical school. In Birmingham, AL he attended a community-based family medicine residency program He then served in the United States Air Force as a primary care physician to active duty troops, their family members, and retired military members. All of the above experiences taught him to practice cost effective/patient result oriented medicine. He believes this approach is the right thing to do and very necessary to deliver healthcare to the underserved population during medical school and residency. The military also demanded their doctors practice cost effective medicine while delivering excellent medical care.

Dr. Pulcini settled in Tampa after his military service. It was here where he was introduced to results driven medicine with a company called JSA which is now part of the Optum family.

In 2007, Dr Pulcini opened his first de novo clinic in Tampa concentrating in Medicare Advantage HMO products. He grew this from 1 clinic to 15 clinics with his business partner who is also with the organization. In 2020, they decided to join forces with MaxHealth. He loves delivering healthcare with the backing of a multi-million organization that allows him to practice the same way he always have. Dr. Pulcini is a significant shareholder in the MaxHealth company.
